Sask 1st Call operates Monday to Friday 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., and is closed weekends and holidays. Online requests can be made 24 hours a day.

A locate request submitted on this site will automatically notify the affected utility members based on the dig site area drawn by the user. A copy of your ticket will be emailed to you.

Locate markings are valid for 30 calendar days, unless otherwise stipulated by the facility owner. The Excavator is not clear to excavate until all members notified have located their facilities in the identified work area or advised you to proceed. It is the Excavator’s responsibility not to damage the facilities, and placing this request through Sask 1st Call does not remove that responsibility.

A minimum of three full working days’ notice is required in order for facility owners to respond to a routine request. Large Project tickets require a minimum of five full working days’ notice.

If your locate is an Emergency or Priority, you must call Sask 1st Call directly at 1-866-828-4888 and speak with a Sask 1st Call Representative. Emergencies are processed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

NOTE: Locate response times can vary and a longer lead time is recommended during the busiest months (May, June, July, August, September). Sask 1st Call assumes no responsibility for the locating or marking of infrastructure. The obligation of responding to locate requests rests solely with the owner or operator of infrastructure. Owners or operator may need to adhere to legislative or other requirements as opposed to those set out by Sask 1st Call.

There may be other parties who have underground facilities in your work area that are not Subscribed to Sask 1st Call. You are responsible to notify these parties of your proposed excavation. You are also responsible to locate or hire someone to locate any “private lines” in your work area.
